The Gladys oxfords feature fine brogue detailing including a clever "W" design on the cap toe along with the signature Dandy Wellington logo stamp on the heels.

Inspired by gender-bending pianist and vocalist Gladys Bentley, The Gladys Oxfords are a sartorial work of art that would be at home in her wardrobe. Bentley, who was openly gay, had a decades long recording career and often performed in men’s attire all over Harlem.

The Gladys Cap Toe Oxfords use a refined last shape with an almond toe reminiscent of late Edwardian and 1920s silhouettes, but are perfectly period well into the 1950s.
